Kiting on Texel

P1040689_0.jpg Last weekend we went to Texel. Of course there was no escaping the soccer game but we did non orange things as well. Both on Saturday and Sunday we went to the beach. On Saturay there was almost no wind, luckily my kite can handle such conditions. It was extremely fun to fly all the figures without worrying of crashing your kite.
Not so on Sunday, the wind howled over the beach and as soon as I pulled the strings the kite took over, I was pulled through the sand leaving a plowed trail behind me. After 30 minutes the wind had won, my hands and arms were numb and only with great effort I could land without crashing the kite, but it was FUN. Being pulled over the sand by a kite is a sensational feeling.
